This year I was part of the MS walk. Keith and I went to Cheshire, CT to walk and were part of team 23 people strong! I am proud to have walked and will definitely participate again next year. It was a beautiful day and amazing to walk 5 miles in Cheshire with my family and a ton of others. I am still receiving pledges and can receive them until May 31, 2007. So, if you didn’t get a chance to donate and your saying to yourself, “Darn, I really wanted to support Tara in her Walk for MS!” then you can donate here or send a check to 659 Tower Avenue, 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112, made out to National MS Society with my name on the memo line, until May 31. To those of you who donated, again thank you so much for your support!! You don’t know how much it means to me and my family. Thanks to everyone for your support, monetary and emotional!
P.S. Keith and I both look a little challenged in this picture…not sure why. ;/
I feel like I’m currently dealing with people that speak another language than me and no one understands what I say nor I them. Whether it is work or play, I’m constantly confused. Either my brain is on vacation or I’m speaking another language. Though maybe I should just ask if whoever I’m talking to, “Can you speak English?” and remind them that this is my native tongue and I probably won’t understand you if you aren’t speaking a language that is other than English. I know your probably thinking, “you only speak one language?” and I’m responding, “yes, it is a fault of mine.” But if you really want me to understand what your talking about, please speak my language. Maybe the problem is that I don’t speak English and all this time I’ve spent outside the box with Art has turned my communication into a strange unique language that no one else understands. This could be a problem.
I’m leaving again this weekend to “Walk for MS!” in Cheshire, CT. My cousin Stacey was diagnosed last year and I’ve already raised over $200 in almost 2 weeks. I love this stuff. It is amazing and addictive. I will definitely rally longer and harder next year. It is so awesome to be helping people and actually doing something that benefits others for a change. So, if you wanna help out and benefit others. Please go to my MS Walk Site and click on Donate to Tara! Any little bit helps!
I’m typing this post on my new mac book pro. I’ve so far found it really easy to figure everything out. I don’t know why I’ve hesitated, I know this will make my life 10x easier. What I noticed right off the bat was how big it seems to me. I wanted a smaller laptop, but I guess this will have to do. I also want to get a case for it, anyone have any suggestions on things they like? I’m also noticing as I type that the keys feel very soft and are shorter in height promoting faster keystrokes…so that’s always nice. :)
I’ve pretty much decided that it will take me awhile to transfer everything to my new found friend, but I’m on it…slowly. We took some pictures of the unveiling and I will post them soon, I’m installing gimp as I type. :)
I will also post a couple of pictures from my trip to Boston. I stayed with my cousin and her roomies; They were so awesome and the trip was fun too.
