Long awaited post…

Note:  I just read my previous post titled ‘Website’ and just wanted to share that I haven’t worked on my website since I wrote that post and who knows if what I said there will ever come to fruition.  However, I did want to update this blog a little bit.

For one, I’ve read many books since the one posted to the right.  It’s too arduous to update that cute little category so it’s just going to have to go.  I need a log of the books I’ve read, mostly because I can’t remember that I read them and I would like to have little synopses and blurbs about them so I can remember, so maybe I will just create another page and list them there with little blurbs about each one.

The books since the last:  Although the Alchemist was fabulous and I have now started reading a lot of Paulo Coelho’s books including The Devil and Miss Prym  (also very good), Warrior of Light (Not too into this one, mostly because it’s not really a book, more of a guide that you put on your coffee table, Note to self: Buy Coffee Table) and currently half way through Eleven Minutes which has been put on the back burner due to the release of the newest Harry Potter, which is proving to be as good as I expected, sorry to let down those who predicted a bomb.  However, I do also want to mention that I read Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert and damn what a good book.  I totally think everyone on the planet should read this book, it’ll make yah feel good.  I also want to mention my disappointment in Barnes and Noble for not delivering my Harry Potter book on the 21st.  At 7pm when the book had still not arrived my loving fiance went to our neighborhood B&N and bought me one so I could start it that night.  The ordered B&N book did not arrive until Monday and is still sitting unpacked on the table.  And then there were two.

Aside from the above subway reading I have been busy.  I performed in the International Festival of Arts and Ideas with Adele Myers and Dancers in the middle of June, occupied myself for the rest of June doing PR and event organization for Alexandra Beller’s show ‘us’ at HERE Arts Center which turned out beautifully and had rave reviews, performed in another show at the beginning of July with friends from another company and just finished performing with AMDaT in an outside site-specific work where I lead the audience as their guide on a path while performers danced and popped out of bushes and jumped on fences.  Amongst those things I’ve been taking classes/rehearsing like a good little dancer, moving into our fabulous new apartment, and buying a new couch, chair, and many homey things at Bed, Bath, & Beyond and TJ Max.

Oh and good news, I got another gig today (Thanks Alex).  I will be in a film that is to be shown in a gallery in the South of France.  I have a 2 day shoot the day after I get back from my trip to FL.  So that is exciting news I just found out today.  I am also working Aug - Sept with Troika Ranch for their upcoming show at 3LD Art & Technology Center…so that should be fun.

I have also been wedding planning.  I am heading home tomorrow with Fiance to book hopefully all or most of our vendors for the wedding tomorrow.  Hopefully all that will be done by Friday afternoon and the rest of the time home will be spent with family and at the beach, my legs are as white as the screen I am writing on and need some help.

So that is my update.  Maybe I will one day learn how to blog consistently, until then this will have to do.  Maybe in my next blog I will tell you about the man on the subway who was stalking me, or my friend who got mugged walking home from rehearsal…stay tuned.
