class description

My class focuses on personal exploration in a take it to the limit, I wanna dance kinda way. The class encourages you to embrace how your body individually experiences luscious and textured qualities, expansion, resistance, articulation and timing. Comprised of a series of taught phrases with release, yoga, graham and athletic influences, we will ask our bodies to experiment with risky momentum, balance and off-balance, upside-down propulsion and reaching outward from our core. We will make choices to follow specific details or create our own, choose whether each movement is gentle or rough, expansive or bound and cultivate these choices through the repetition of a final culminating phrase.
